Terms for downloading Disk Headroom and purchasing the optional Disk Headroom Pro license.

Who provides the product

Disk Headroom is the product and sole-proprietor brand of its software publisher. The Pro benefit is offered through a one-time tier on GitHub Sponsors. GitHub processes the sponsorship and provides its receipt under the terms shown on GitHub.

The free app and Pro purchase

The core macOS app is free and open source under the MIT license. Disk Headroom Pro is optional. The qualifying one-time GitHub Sponsors tier includes one signed license key covering releases in major version 1.x. Smaller tiers do not include a key. A future major version may be offered separately.

Using a Pro license

A Pro key lets the purchaser activate supported copies of Disk Headroom they personally use. Do not resell, publish, share, alter, or attempt to forge a key. A key is verified locally; the app does not send it to a licensing server. Open-source rights to the core app remain governed by the MIT license.

Delivery and support

After GitHub confirms the qualifying sponsorship, sign in at https://www.diskheadroom.com/pro with the same account to claim the Pro key. Keep the key and GitHub receipt safely. For a missing key or technical problem, contact us without including a license key or payment data in a public issue. Sponsorship and refund requests are handled through GitHub.

Safe use and limitations

Disk Headroom proposes files for review and moves only confirmed items to the macOS Trash. You remain responsible for reviewing selections, maintaining backups, and deciding whether to empty the Trash. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the software is provided as available without warranties beyond rights that cannot legally be excluded.

Changes and applicable rights

These terms may be updated for future downloads or purchases. An update does not remove the 1.x license rights already purchased. Mandatory consumer rights in your country prevail where they conflict with these terms. The Refund Policy and Privacy Policy form part of these terms.
